A Playboy Playmate Celebrating A 40thAnniversary In 2018 – Karen Elaine Morton, Playboy’s Miss July 1978.  She was the first cousin of Elaine Morton, Playboy’s Miss June 1970.

Karen Elaine Morton (born October 3, 1958 in Palmdale, California; died February 11, 2014 in Burbank, California) was Playboy’s Miss July 1978. Her centerfold was shot by Ken Marcus. Later on, Karen had a small part in the Mel Brooks film History of the World, Part I (1981), and went on to a modeling career in Europe.

She died on February 11, 2014 aged 55 after a long illness as reported by official Facebook pages of fellow playmates Lorraine Michaels and Ava Fabian.

A Playboy Playmate Celebrating A 50thAnniversary In 2018: Melodye Prentiss – Playboy’s  Miss July 1968.

Melodye Prentiss (December 14, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois – March 3, 2009 in California, aged 64) was Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for its July 1968 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar.

Melodye was working in the Playboy editorial library when she was “discovered” by the magazine as Playmate material. She studied fine art and painting at both the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Chicago.

Prentiss died on March 3, 2009 after taking medications that made her unable to breathe following knee surgery and other illnesses.

A Playboy Playmate Celebrating A 60thAnniversary In 2018: The Linné Nanette Ahlstrand, Miss July 1958.

Linné Nanette Ahlstrand (July 1, 1936 in Chicago, IL – January 18, 1967 in Pasadena, CA) was an American model and actress. She was Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for its July 1958 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Frank Bez.

Ahlstrand moved to New York City from Hollywood, Ca. to pursue an acting and modeling career. She appeared in such movies as Living Venus, Beast from Haunted Cave, and in such TV Shows as Highway Patrol, and Johnny Stacatto. She returned to the Los Angeles area in September, 1965, when she got married. Ahlstrand continued to pursue an acting and modeling career before her untimely death to cancer at age 30 in Pasadena, California in 1967.
